There is plenty of excitement around Footy Day with the children wearing their teams colours with pride. Even those who don’t really barrack for a team got into the spirit of the day.

We learn some important parts of the game of Football – what skills we needed: running, marking, kicking the ball, hand balling and tapping the ball. We demonstrate different types of marks, kicks and how to handball.

We then divide into teams and head outside to participate in some footy skills activities:

1. Hand Balling

2. Kicking for goal

3. Dodging and Marking the Ball

The children wait in lines for their turns and everyone has lots of opportunities to participate in each activity.

Football activities run from 9.45am – 10.45am and we will have a special footy lunch at 1:00pm.
